It is with a heavy heart that we announce the cancellation of all events planned after 4pm on the 4th of July. This includes Family Bazaar, Bounce Houses, DJs, Food Vendors, Beer Garden, and FIREWORKS.

The 4th of July committee met with the city and the Richfield PD to discuss the weather. They needed to make a decision before 4pm due to road closures.

The main concern, as it always is, is the safety of Richfield residents. If something happened, there isn't space for you to shelter safely at Vet's Park.

This means that there WILL BE NO fireworks this year. The planning that has to be done with the city, the county, and vendors takes WEEKS. What this WILL mean is that we WILL have fireworks next year for sure.

We are GUTTED with this decision, but it's been a helluva day and a half, Richfield!

We got our Battle of the Band, we got our Street Dance, our flyover and 2/3 of our parade. That's more than a lot of cities got. Thank you SO SO MUCH for sticking with us and helping us celebrate how awesome Richfield is. After all the hard work, seeing the joy on your faces was all we could ask for.

Better believe that we'll be back again next year, Richfield! I mean, we owe you fireworks, right? It's a date
